In 2022, Gilbert was awarded the Architecture Leaders Awards Young Architect HC Award and Best public building by the 3rd International Art and Architecture award. Along to being awarded the Sustainability Champion and Rising Star Awards 3 times. He has been a jury member for multiple international awards and a speaker at both regional and international conferences.
